Singing lessons
learn to sing with florence knight

Singing and teaching. The two things in this world that I am best at and love the most.
It's an absolute joy to be able to bring those passions together to help people find strength, ease and confidence in their singing voices.
Whether you've never sung in front of anyone or are already performing, I can help you move forward with your singing in a fun and stress-free environment.
How I can help
why work with me
Find your sound
It often feels easiest to try to copy other singers, but we want to learn from their styles to ultimately find our own authentic voice and sound.
Build strength & range
We'll use exercises and techniques to help you find power and range in your voice, giving you the confidence to tackle all your favourite songs!
decades of experience
I had my first singing lesson 30 years ago and have trained with a host of excellent teachers. I have been a performing singer for about 25 years, singing a wide range of genres. I can work with you on stage presence, microphone technique and stage sound.
understand your voice
The voice is a complicated instrument! Understanding how the voice actually works from an anatomical perspective is a key step to using it well.
troubleshoot
Whether it's a vocal issue your struggling with or a song you can't quite master, we'll work together to find out what the issue is and how to move past it.
trained teacher
I am a qualified teacher, with a Level 3 Adult Education & Training certification. I am currently studying with the British Association of Singing Teachers. I have an aptitude for teaching and absolutely love it. I create a relaxed and encouraging environment, and work at the pace of each student.
I am currently teaching from my house just outside of Totnes. I can come to your house for a small travel fee if you are in the area, or I teach online.
Lessons are priced at £35 for 45 minutes.
Or at an introductory rate of £25 per lesson when purchased as a block of four, however you're welcome to pay for the first lesson, see how you enjoy it, then decide whether to proceed with the other three.
